The hydration challenge continues....despite a return to Arctic temperatures and a snowstorm earlier in the week that left my poor husband stranded overnight (!).....and I decided to experiment this week with a couple of reader suggestions from last week for making water more exciting.
I did traditional lemon, lime ice cubes and cucumber, all of which, combined with lovely fridge-cold (yes, despite everything!) filtered water from my BRITA Marella Jug, tasted like the sort of things one might be offered at a luxury spa. It was a tough choice, but I think cucumber was my favourite. It tastes so cleansing yet decadent, it really adds a bit of interest. Thank you Sarah H for the excellent idea!
The Marella Jug is the perfect size for my tiny fridge and I like how there's a little flip top lid so you can fill it really easily. It also has an electronic cartridge indicator on the top which counts down the time since you last changed the filter cartridge and tells you when to replace it.
It also comes in heaps of pretty colours to suit every decor - I couldn't resist mint, of course.
This week, BRITA have kindly offered a Marella jug for one lucky SLSB reader keen to join us on the hydration challenge. Just leave a comment on this post with your name and a way of contacting you, and I'll draw a winner at random at 9am UK time, Friday 15th March 2013. Please note: the competition is open to UK readers only.
And if you correctly guess the inspiration behind my competition image (the first one), you'll get two entries J
Hope you're having a great week! More soon xx
Update: the winner of this give-away is Leah. Thanks for playing! There will be another give-away next week for the final week of the hydration challenge so stay tuned and feel free to enter again :) Comments are still very welcome on this post but they won't be entered into the competition.
