banana cacao almond smoothie



This one has a nutty, chocolate-milkshake vibe about it...but it tastes so healthy!

Banana cacao almond smoothie
Makes 1 pint

1 small frozen banana
1 large handful of kale
1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 2/3 cups Alpro unsweetened almond milk

You could also add some vanilla flavoured protein powder if you want more fill factor.

Try and use a banana that has just ripened – I tend to avoid bananas that are overripe due to the increased sugar concentration.

Blend all ingredients together until smooth. Then drink!
